GUKPT - G Casino Sheffield

I have had a super busy last few days!
Thursday I started working in a School one day a week to mentor young people, Friday I got another job in Derbyshire County Council as a Residential Child Care Worker, I’m already employed as a Youth Worker for D.C.C and have been for almost 4 years now, so I’m really happy I can continue to progress my career with D.C.C.
Earlier on in the week I had been checking out the GUKPT Sheffield leg and decided that I may take a shot at the ME £500+£50. I decided to play a super satellite first in the £35+£5 re-buy on Friday to see if I could luckbox a cheap seat. After I registered I ended up playing a cash game whilst the 5 of us who registered for the super satellite were hanging around waiting for another 5 players to register(they wouldn’t start a table without at least 10 players).
Friday was the first live poker session I’d played in ages! I was so card dead! The big pots I played I lost, TPGK to 5 outta all in on flop, then later on I made a fold in a tricky spot where I was wrong. I ended up making a little money, but basically for the 8 hour session I played, my results were pretty hilarious! I played last night and this morning too.
I met a local lad on the first nights session, who I ended up giving a lift home. He was on his birthday celebration, playing the session with one friend who ended up going home at 12pm. After learning that he lived on the way I would be travelling back home, I offered to take him back as he wanted to continue his session.
So me and this guy have been playing sessions at the card room in at the G- Casino at Sheffield since Friday. So far in total we have put in about 30-32 hours of play. Pretty crazy long sessions! I’m shocked at my ability to maintain patience and discipline for these prolonged periods of time in a live card room enviroment! It gave me an idea, which is to try to play a huge session of 48 hours or more in a live card room, trying to beat my longest session record which was set online.

What is your longest session everybody? Mine is just shy of 48 hours online(with food, toilet & shower breaks),then for a live card room enviroment just the 8 hours so far.

Think we may be frequenting the G- Casino’s card room this evening too, full of energy after watching this advert:

News International:News Of The World

When I heard about the news which was of course the closure of one of the most successful newspapers in the world, being in print since 1843, I couldn’t believe my ears. Perhaps the bigger story here is what do these actions translate into?
After further telephone hacking scandals, this time the uncovering of murder victim’s phones being hacked, News International announced they are going to close down the publication, with Sunday 10th July being the last print.

Why would you want to close such a successful part of your empire News International? Is it because you know that by closing News of The World, you can shred all your documents and get rid of any further incriminating evidence, as no court order has yet to be issued to this part of the News International empire.

It’s fun to watch the big corporations hitting all the right buttons to get their selves out of huge tangles, maybe even more so funnier is knowing how many loop holes there still are in modern law today, what would have been even more funnier would have been to see what the public enquiry found after turning up a few stones!

Anyway, well played, good game Mr Murdoch

If you like money and don‘t mind collecting and keeping things for a long time my advice is to buy a few copies of the last print.
