April ends in the green at least

Well another months over and it will be soon time for Vegas.Things still not looking that promising for me as I finished the month out losing $4000 of my profits in the last 5 days:(

At the end of last month I said I wouldn’t be too interested in April and have not really tried to do much. I put in around 47hrs with an MT ratio of 2.1 this really shows how lazy I am. I guess £1600+ is a standard UK monthly so I’m more than happy dragging this in for a half hearted effort. Could have been much better but “what ya gonna do”…

I better put some targets down for May or I will end up being lazy for another month. Since I have not yet broke $10k in a month this will yet again be another marker I will want to achieve and since I managed to bang out 15khands in March I think I should look to hit 20khands in May. The hands will be most important and each month I want to play 2250-5000hands more to slowly ramp myself up to a decent volume each month. I’m thinking of upgrading my screen also so I can play more tables. I think I could play up to 6 tables decently but any more I think I wouldn’t be able to make good decisions. At the moment I think my screen is only 17” or 19”????? I have been thinking of either getting 2-22” screens side by side or maybe get a big LCD screen like 30” or so. Have to look into this as I’m limited space in my office(which is currently my bedroom)

Biggest losing day ever

Well last night I played the WORST I have ever played by a long way. I really am pissed at myself! I managed to spew and I do mean spew off 7.5 BI at $400nl. I went through all the hands and I’m honestly too embarrassed to post any of them. I can’t justify any of it. So bad! I had one cooler QQ v AK which I 3bet and called an all in preflop standard cooler but the rest of the 7.5 BI was total spew offs!

Thinking about it positively my image is now a complete donk at FT to anyone who had the pleasure of playing me last night.

As you can see yesterday kind of screwed my month up big :(

Funny thing happened whilst watching GMTV today. I never watch this show but had it on today whilst waiting to go to a meeting. One of their guests a young female “Laura Michaels” was being interviewed about how she started off meeting males online for casual sex. She was on the Facebook network and created the “I NEED SEX” group. She went on to mention that she had sex with around 35males in a 3 month period. This old women sat by her side(some paper agony aunt)was proper screwing her face up at all this, you really had to have watched the show as the camera kept cutting to her face and showing her emotions whilst the interview was taking place, freaking hilarious. After a while went on “Laura Michaels” said that she got banned from the social networking sites and decided to set up her own website …. So after she slips in her plug for her website I think hey that site is going to get mega hits now with it being mentioned on GMTV show and all. I click onto the site and lol it’s a porn site.

After the next interview or whatever(can’t remember GMTV is that crap apart from this issue) it cut’s back to Phillip Schofield and he obviously had to say that since the guest unexpectedly mentioned her website, they apologize as this contains adult pornographic material.

Bahahahahahahahahaha! So funny that GMTV can’t even research there interview and guest sources with any kind of competence.

Things have been pretty average today. Within first 7hands I hit top set and 3bet 7-4-5 flop to get 4bet.Standard shove he shows 8-6s(flush draw as well lol) 30% to win river pairs SHIP
Karma later on in the day, I get rivered twice in two largish pots both worth $700 combined then blow up a bit spewing off $180ish before I recover and go $470 up for 440hands.

I decide to play on PP for a while today because games were not that good at FT. I fire PP up and within 80hands I’m playing/running bad. Quickly lose/donk off $150 and decide to quit.

I really need to get in about 500hands at PP before the end of the month and that will take me up to 20k points so I can exchange those points for $200(almost lost that at PP today)

End of month in rake-back and party point cash I should get $550-$700 so that will add to my months winnings nicely.

Like I was saying in my last blog I definitely play worse at party. I was getting so frustrated today. Was in a horrible game where I was out of position to 2 call stations and 2 regulars had Position on me. I was that desperate to get some party points my game selection was none existent.Things are still going good,nearly $7k+ for month so I think I'll make playing at FT a permanent fixture

Things still going pretty well this month, on and off the tables. I managed to have a really good night on Friday getting drunk with a few friends for my birthday celebrations.
Also I have managed to complete my induction for the Youth Service(apart from a few things I need to be informed on). So things are pretty good.
On Saturday I managed to play a fair bit whilst hungover and still made $700+ so that was a bonus. I got very lucky on one hand hitting a 2 outta all in on the flop so I decided to take the win and quit as I played the hand badly.


If you have not seen the TRANSFORMERS film yet I would recommend that you watch it. I managed to watch that Saturday night and really enjoyed it. Top film A+ imo

I know I’m playing well now for the first time in a while. Don’t know why but I always seem to play better 6max poker at FT when I’m trying my best. One thing I really don’t want to do this month is get super overconfident. We all do it when the going is good and the end result is unnecessary spewing.

This should have been a cont bet against this player. I think he knows we missed so just trows a bet at it.

My thinking was totally screwed up by his min bet on the turn,I should bet this river all day,meh so bad!

Again same player as the last 2 hands, His min bet here is pretty disturbing, still $130 left I think I should just shove for value bleh.

Quick update

Things have been going really well. Still been losing big hands to massive underdogs but that’s poker!
I’m much more happier this month as I planned on not having any targets, so just playing as much or as little as I want is a lot less stressful.

I have been finding it very easy to play on FullTilt as there software is a lot better the Party Poker.Things like just having to press one button to join a wait list or sit at the table is so much more pleasant.Already I have earned $120+ in Rakeback so things are really good.
I just want to play the month out and see what kind of winrate I can produce compared to Party Poker.At the moment things are looking good and I’m playing very well.I'm having to play a lot tighter than my usual style due to playing more tables.I think I'm adapting well.At one point the other day I had 6 tables running and I timed out about 7 times in 370 hands.HaHa such a multitabling noob!I'm quite comftable playing 4 tables now and it's so much easier to bang hands in without much effort.

I really can’t get into it today. I’m up about $800 today for 350 hands. Every time I sit a table breaks and my motivational levels are low so this does not help.

It will be my birthday by the time I awake today, so I’m not going to play all day. The plan is to get up early go look around some clothes shops buy some cool new threads then go out for the evening and get obliterated with a few friends.

Back for more pokerments

Well after last month ended I kind of felt a bit sick in the mouth,so I decided to take a few days off.I feel much better now and I'm going to try to lead a much more normal life than before.I am going to try to stop play no later than 2am each day so I can sleep for 8hrs and get up around 10:30am each day(well that's the plan anyway ;) )
I fired everything back up last night as Friday always seems like easy money,good as time of any really.


Taking Your Eye Off The Ball

I have been looking into how much I spend on rake.Last month I did a little over $2300 at Party Poker.I have had a Full Tilt account for ages and I get 27% rakeback.So I would have got back $600+ last month of my money.I need to really try and play Full Tilt full time rather than Party Poker.I decided to try some $400nl at Full Tilt last night.I played a bit off Party also and ended day up $1300+

I only played around 400hands at Full Tilt but from what I saw the games seem far more easy than at Party Poker.I definitely agree with people who say Party MSNL regs are the best.Hell even the short stacker's(who are supposedly un-exploitable)sucked at Full Tilt.

I'm still running pretty bad and getting fairly bad beats.

Well I currently feel tilted really bad.The last 3 days I have proceeded to lose $3600 in a series of bad beats.Probably $1200/3 stacks were in bad plays but still I'm running like an ass and this doesn't make me feel too nice at all.

I'm so fucking tilted it's unreal.Compared to bad runs I probably not lost half as much as I had done on one of my worst downswings ever but the series of hands that I have lost with in the last 3 days just seems unreal.

It's so funny every time we lose we lose confidence,then we start winning we gain confidence,the trick is to keep a steady medium between the two.Being over confident can be bad and being under confident can lose you money/+EV as well.

I don't have any poker targets for April as I plan on taking a break from the game(as long as I can keep away lol)plus I have allot of studies that need to be done at college and with work.I will be happy with playing a few thousand hands and game selecting really well and picking big fish to play against and scrapeing by in April(just like I have done in march really but without all the effort ;) )I also will probally play alot of HU in April rather than 6max.$750 of this months profit was infact $100nl HU 560ish hands.Only fun I had at poker this month :)
