London trip

Sunday 14th
Got train from Didcot to London Paddington station and arrived around 7:20pm.After I got checked in and took a quick shower I headed out to the Victoria Poker room which is on Harrowby Street just 5 minutes away from my hotel to meet a fellow 2+2er Ben/Benjee(I think he likes to be called).

We quickly joined all the waitlist for the games, whilst we waited we enjoyed a meal in the restaurant. We got comped so after we ate I think we only had £8 to pay or so for the extra drinks and stuff so that was cool.

I sat down and played some £1/£2 which was proper weak. For those of you who are any good at Internet poker live is a very easy transition to make as long as your not a tell box.I think live is allot easier than the Internet but the bad thing is it's pretty slow and I was getting bored after 3 days of live poker.

I ended my session £321 for around 3.5hrs work(I think 45minutes of this time was in the restaurant)

On the way home I heard someone shout to me,and I could see a black girl who came over.At first I was hoping it was this hot black girl who I stacked at our table in a 3-way pot called Jennifer.Meh,some skanky prostitute trying to work it asks if I want any action and I reply"the only thing I want to get up is early in the morning so I'm going to need my sleep"I thought this was a nice response from me as I felt like just telling her too take her ugly face across the street!

Monday 15th
I got up around 9am as we had too be checked into the event for 10:30am.By the time everyone checked in and sat down it was well past 1pm.Really badly organised I felt. The tournament went great apart from me being a bit card dead.I had AKo once AKs twice Tens and 9s and that was it apart from maybe 4 other very small pairs where I was utg at aggressive table's which is clearly a fold.

The bust out hand was 6 handed with 11players left on two tables.I was getting pretty active trying to pick pots up and ended up with 23k when the blinds where 1500/3000 and I'm utg 6handed with AcTc.I decide I have to raise after taking a glance around the table and most of the players in the hand with their actions was telling me they was about to fold.I make it 7k and one player calls(the chip leader)I'd not seen him get out of line and felt he was probably playing well and getting good hands at good times.I decided to check on Qc-4c-4h The reason I checked was because I was about to check fold as I didn't realise I had the flush draw. The guy bets 6k and its back on me with 16k left. After a while I look at my cards then I feel like an absolute clown.I have misread my hand and should have open shoved 16k into 18.5k .....anyways after me working out I'm around 42%(since that I worked it out at 44.65% through a poker calculator) as long as he doesn't have AQ I shove KNOWING he is gonna call my 10k with anything(I already know he has Q at worst but most likely 77/88/99/TT)

The guy calls turn & river brick..meh busted!

I stayed and watched the whole event after going out in 11th and it was a good game. Some big names came later like Ivey and Antonius and Benyameine.

I got in around 2am and got to sleep as I wanted to go and watch the big guns play the million dollar cash game the following day

Tuesday 16th
I got to the venue just as they were allowing everyone in so I looked super smooth just walking straight in whilst everyone else said they had to wait about 45mins for the film crew to be ready enough to let them in.

It was really good watching the final table of 6 play down to a winner.

When it got down to 3 handed everyone was extremely impressed with the one female player who got knocked out in 3rd.Adam Noone won the event and it confirmed my prediction that himself or Jay was going to win. They ended up HU and Adam got the best of it fortunately.

I was very impressed with how Adam played Ivey and how he played Roland and Fegusson.Unfortunately Roland De Wolfe luck boxed his Qs-5s on Adams A-6o and crippled him.Adam couldn't come back from this and that's why he only won 2/3 HU matches. Boy was he smiling when they presented him with the £200,000 check.Congrats Adam well played sir.

I end up in the Victoria club again really tired and end up spewing off £53.50p before calling it a night.

Wednesday 17th
What an awesome day!I turned up and spoke to Cunningham who is a really nice guy and it was good talking to him. Also I got the chance to speak to Patrick Antonius who also is a pretty sound dude.On break after the 2nd session of filming the crew announced 1hr dinner.Patrick,David and Mike Matasow decided they was going to play Chinese for 2k a point until mike said he only wanted $500 a point.I ended up watching the whole thing in amazement and laughing most of the the time at each other squabbling with one another over Patrick scoring it correctly?Haha, how Americans say "Mother Fucker" is priceless :)

I ended up pocketing the score card at the end of the day.Steeled it?It was laying around and I thought it would be a cool memento.

I got to the Victoria club after and ended up a £240.50p winner for about 2hrs work,if that.So that was putting me up £508 at the games in the Vic for around 6.5hrs-7hrs work over 3 nights which I feel is great at £1/£2 for my 5th time playing live cash.SHIP!

Thursday 18th
I decide I'm not going to stay to watch day2 of the million dollar cash game and head home at 11:20am.

I get back to my dads house in Oxfordshire and freshen up and I treat them to a Chinese takeaway as it was my dads birthday on the 9th and I only bought him a small gift. Also I would like to thank my dad and his wife for putting me up and always making me feel very welcome when I visit, which is not as often as I would like.

Friday 19th
I got up at a ridiculous time 8:30am,poker players are not meant to get up till 2pm each day you know. It's the law :) I got home pretty early and sorted out all my washing and got back to normality pretty fast.

Later Friday evening I had to be at the recreational ground where I live as we were hosting a 11-14yrs old 5-a-side football tournament which went down really well.

OK I don't really like having conflicts with people about poker but I got really annoyed by the guy who finished 6th or 5th?He was the guy who knocked me out and still to this day thinks I CRAI with only 3outs.LOL.I posted my bust out hand on 2p2 and he piped up trying to say I had only 3outs.After repeated attempts to try to tell him my hand he still thinks I only had 3outs.Why would I lie?Anyway I bet him $20k or however much more he wants on the exact whole cards. For some reason he has stopped posting.I wonder why.It really is a big insult for me,I'm a very proud player and I always kick myself and tilt badly when I make mistakes in huge spots. This was not one of them.People who play lots of hands can always remember key hands/exact whole cards from sessions weeks and sometimes months ago.I know I can and I was willing to bet on this. Here is the thread if you have a spare 10minutes.It's pretty funny how the key just makes an assumption I'm not telling the Truth and he even says I said I was drunk as an excuse for misreading my hand.In the post I clearly state I was tired after playing at the Vic.He must know that little about poker he thinks the Vic is a pub lol.Wake the fak up bro, prob bet for your whole roll imo

Now I'm settled I am looking forward to getting back into playing Internet poker and will make every effort to have a good month. For everyone I met at London who happens to stumble upon my blog "Hi nice meeting you all and best of luck in the future"for all the rest of you degens....I guess I wish you all good luck as well,as long as your not sat with me ldo ;)
