[x] Go out and get drunk tonight :)
One out 5 not bad :)
December
I just got some new poker software HEM on the 1st and I didn't have a clue how to configure it all and get it up and running so I have been playing around with that for a few days. The worst thing was getting my party dataming software sorted but that's done now so I have all month to try HEM out.I actually just brought it instead of the trail.$80 is next to nothing really for software so it's all good :)

I had been running PT2 & PAHUD all this time and the software has got worse and worse.I can manage to play with it but it really is lolbad at Party Poker so I DL'd the HEM software as everyone is talking about it and also I understand it has sexy 3bet/4bet %'s and ranges which will be nice to play around with.
Because I really didn't like allot of stats on the screen(I like the pop-ups allot)I made 2 new HUDS.One for PP and one for FTP(as the seats are in different locations)I think in a way I have done this to make me feel more at home with it as I had a pretty basic HUD with PAHUD which I got used too.As said above I am looking forward to using the 3bet & 4bet stats and feel this can only be a good thing for ones game to actively think of all those ranges.
For December I am pretty much going to be playing as and when I feel like it.I'm going to enjoy myself and splash some cash around as I'm happy enough with how much $$$$$ I made this year playing poker plus the ££££ I get from the real world :)

10-BI HU
I doubt I will be making many more blogs for a while as I have become a bit unmotivated by poker and more motivated in real world activities like drinking and pulling sexy HOES...
So here's a bonus picture of my final stack from Tuesday mincing around at $50nl HU for 485 hands...yes that is 25/50c I even play micro HU sngs when unmotivated.
The match would have made an awesome video actually even although out of the 5/6 players I only played 1 decent player and 1 competent player, but my trails ran out and I'm not Balla enough to buy the Cam Tasia Studio Software sorry :(

Merry Christmas and all that stuff, enjoy the festivities and time with your family's and what not.

I have miss clicked a fair bit but never had a caller/pusher.Recently I changed my raise size to 3x rather than my standard 3.5x and since this change as I play 2/4 I have been typing 122 allot rather than 12.This is happening because of the micro lag on my Logitech number pad.I'm just going to have to keep my eye on it.I always notice and change the bet but on this occasion I didn't notice it was 122 before it was too late.Always nice to have an easy call after a miss click.

Today has been a grind to say the least, just grateful for the miss click hand

Agencies Issue Final Rule to Implement UIGEA

The Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve Board today announced the release of a joint final rule to implement the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006. The Act prohibits gambling businesses from knowingly accepting payments in connection with unlawful Internet gambling, including payments made through credit cards, electronic funds transfers, and checks.

The Board and the Treasury are required by the Act to develop a joint rule in consultation with the Department of Justice. The final rule requires U.S. financial firms that participate in designated payment systems to establish and implement policies and procedures that are reasonably designed to prevent payments to gambling businesses in connection with unlawful Internet gambling. The rule provides non-exclusive examples of such policies and procedures and sets out the regulatory enforcement framework. For purposes of the rule, unlawful Internet gambling generally would cover the making of a bet or wager that involves use of the Internet and that is unlawful under any applicable federal or state law in the jurisdiction where the bet or wager is initiated, received, or otherwise made.

Compliance with the rule is required by December 1, 2009.

Thoughts
So basically in another 6-9months online poker in the US is going to be very hard making it even more tougher in the games as the fresh money brought into the games by fish, regular hobbyist's,casual players are not going to go to the great lengths that most US pros are going to have to go too.

Back to PartyPoker soon me thinks.

Still can pick a winner

Today I decided to throw down a few bets in the betting-shop(Ladbrooks).I was on the way back to the car and had a few minutes left so decided to bet on a dog race.I had just done something significant with the number 5 involved earlier today so before I had even entered the shop I know I'm backing number 5.

I look at form and would honestly have backed this dog anyway. The form basically predicted exactly how the race went down."Picks up from back and stays"It crossed the line 1/3 a dog ahead at 4/1

I decide I'm going to bet the next race as surely this is a good omen.I read the form and decide to make 2 bets on the next race.Winner 6 dog and straight forecast.I make a mistake and mark up 6-5-3(this is a tricast)I guess it's been a while since I placed a bet, plus I'm a little ill at the moment,so not feeling too clever.

She cancels the bet and I'm writing out another and couldn't place in time as they got released early out of the traps.

6 romped it home 4/1 but I let it drift like a pro and got 9/2 ;)

The forecast would have been wrong as 3 dog came 2nd.I would have won a mixed tricast though :)

Poker Update

I have been very ill for the last 5 days or so,and a few days before I was not playing too good at all.As a result of this I have played no NL cash for the last week I think?Few nights ago I fired up some PLO on Party Poker doing pretty good the first night making 3 BI.The second night I dropped back 2 BI playing horrendous so went off that idea off.I have been trying to focus playing tournaments and have had good results at sng's overall but I really am feeling off and can't cope with any kind of tilt at the moment.Yesterday I got a FR sng down to HU with a 11.5/1 chip lead and lost it.I know why I lost and it wasn't unlucky.I just couldn't be bothered to outplay the guy postflop and kept JAM'n preflop with marginal holdings.I was pwning him postflop but getting pwned preflop. My mindset is so far off right now for playing poker in any competitive poker game for a decent amount of money.

I have been trying to think why I have been tilted this badly.I know it's not money wise as I have never had more money in my life.I'm only 4 BI down for the month so it's not that either.I have come to this conclusion;
I have played online poker for about 4years(maybe more)and during this time I have practically played every day.I know that I may only on average play 2.5hrs a day or whatever but I really think I have blown a big fuse and need to reset.
I think so far this year I have probably played my "A Game" for about 4 months which is pretty terrible.Poker is all about making the least amount of mistakes with whatever information you have at hand and I seem to be making more than my fair share of mistakes recently.Maybe I'm bored of 2/4 and need to move onto a higher level where I'm going to respect money again.I'm going to be doing some serious thinking over the next month and decide what I want to do in life as I'm not to happy at all at the moment.

F1 Crown Shipped

Yesterday I watched the final of the Grand Prix. How fortunate was it that Glock slide it around on the 2nd to last corner.I doubt we will ever see a championship as close as 2008.The race was one of the most exciting races I have ever watched being a British supporter of driver Lewis Hamilton.I'm so happy that a British driver has took down the crown of F1.It has been far to long for British fans waiting for our own Champion.Lewis is a great racer and got his F1 career off to a flying start 2nd last year and winning the crown this year.
Last year I brought a McLaren F1 model car(no.2Lewis Hamilton).I know I'm going to get a No.1 Lewis Hamilton car for Christmas now :)

Sorry if you don't like F1(I know allot thinks it boring but each to their own)

Carry on.

Expensive parking ticket imo

Went for a walk around town with a few mates for about 1hour.Funny thing is it cost £2.20p for a up to 2hrs ticket. My friend goes to buy a ticket and put £2.00 in and pressed the green button and got 3minutes.Ha ha,what a donkey. He had to put another £2.20p in to get a ticket for up too 2hours.£4.20p for 1hour in town anybody would think were not in a recession!

October
Last month was very annoying, but I only put in 43hrs(less than 9khands I think) and came out with $1775 after rakeback so I shouldn't grumble to hard.God I did suck though, could do with playing significantly better this month.Funny thing is I made nearly 2BI yesterday.I can't post a graph as I have half hands on laptop and other half on desktop but I bet the graph would be pretty lol.
I ended up taking nearly a week off last month just chilling I got that pissed off with it all.I didn't go on vacation or anything so that was pretty lame meh.

Goals for November
15k+ hands
Play my "A" game at all times

$6k+ profit
Buy Christmas presents
Go out and get drunk tonight :)

Let the grinding begin(tomorrow ldo)

Bricks,coins,dollars,pounds,quids...

So poker has been proving pretty swingy this month.I have been swinging from Even/$1k>>>$4k for about 2 weeks now.Pretty disgusting considering the start of the month looked so promising.I'm not playing to great under the stress of the variance that I'm getting so I'm going to try to take a few days off and relax for a bit.

I really am pretty happy at the moment, all I have to do to get a boner these days is look at XE.com or check out the go currency graph or even my windows sidebar gadgets on my desktop to see how much the £GBP is falling against the $USD.I don't know if it's USD strength or GBP weakness thats causing the massive swing in currency conversion but I sure am gratefull.Compared to around 5 months ago $1000 was worth £510.Today the GBP against the USD is an all time 5 year low and were getting $1000>>>£620.90p.

That's right folks for every $1000 USD you hold in your poker bankroll it's now worth £110.9 GBP more bricks, coins, dollarz, pounds, quids, what ever you want to call them!

Car park old lady

I just pulled up today in our local towns main car park.Only 15 seconds out of the car I notice this old women driver(OK lets stereotype)you know the ones, they have the seat all the way up to the steering wheel and can barley see over the dashboard.I notice that she is struggling to get her car in/out of a car parking space(I couldn't work out if she was parking up/pulling out the manoeuvre was that bad).I really am trying not to smile as I felt like I was going to burst out laughing my ass off.I mean this women could probably fuck up a cup of coffee. She had ended up practically wedged between a pick up truck and a ford focus behind her, both parked in different rows.Nuts!!!I proceed to walk around the back of the car(possible -EV play more chance of getting hit I know)and her friend pulls me over.
Friend:Excuse me can you help us get out of this car parking space
Me:Yeah sure
Driver:Mumbling loads of old woman panicking stuff
Me:Hop out then, there is a big Que forming behind you.

She gets out and I hop in to the drivers seat.I drive forward to within a few inches of the vehicle in front then reverse to withing a few inches of the vehicle behind me3/4 lock 1st gear and we are out of there.lol wtf!!!It really was not that hard.

Her:Oh thank you ever so much
Me:No problem that's my good dead done for the day.

Funny thing is she was driving a Hyundai i10 D Lite:
Overall Length (mm)
3565 mm
Overall Width (mm)
1595 mm
Overall Height (mm)
1550 mm
Wheel Base (mm)
2380 mm

I really wish I could have taken some photos but felt like that would have been kind of rude,so I decided to add a funny video instead.Pretty good find actually.Enjoy and look on in amazement :)

Random clean up operation

Last night I played pretty bad but got away with booking a 1.5 BI win.I decided to go and see a few friends(somethings that I should do allot more). Was pretty cool catching up with old friends who I don't see as often I used too before I got into the poker lifestyle.

For poker today I have hardly played but got nearly 1 BI up and then miss clicked a river.Basically I min raised a bet on the river where I meant to check-call.I didn't fund this very funny even though it was only a $35 mistake(I raised to $75).I could feel myself tilting up before I managed to clam down.Few orbits later the fish leaves and I'm sat with 4 regulars.....time to end the session me thinks!

Today has been pretty funny, totally random but I'm a really tidy and organised person in allot of ways, some bad some good.Example I tend to save every box from nearly everything electrical that I buy so I have ended up with a shit load of boxes in various different places.Today I had a mass clear out/cleanup operation and have created much more needed space.

Recently I have been thinking allot about moving into a new place for a few reasons:
1:Larger Office space for poker
2:Different location(City)better nightlife 24 hour culture for us who sleep at irregular times
3:Bigger kitchen space
4:Space for more gym equipment

One thing that I would be up for is moving into a short term lease(3months-6month)in some balla apartment with a few other poker players.Actually thinking about it,wouldn't it be cool to live in Venice for a 1/4 of the year then go to Monaco to complete the first 1/2 of the year then end up in Milan for 3/4 of the year then come back home for the last 3 months of that year to complete a cycle.
My recent trip to London opened my eyes what major city's have to offer in comparison to life in the middle of our humble island.

Perfecting screen displays

I messed around with my primary and made it my TV.This way I don't have a dirty taskbar at the bottom. Also I changed the resolution to the maximum of 1920 x 1080p

The playability of more tables is so better now,at first I kind of didn't know what I was doing with the dual screens(all new to me),think I sorted that out take a look at the new resolutions,so much better.

4 Tables
4 tabling
6 Tables
6 tabling
9 tables
9 tabling
12 Tables
12 tabling

All with no overlap very sick indeed.Honestly if I had the office space I'd go for 2 x Toshiba 40 " and have the on dual view 6 tables on each and one great big dirty desk and one of those $1,000 chairs that everyone posts about. That's my goal to be a profitable 12 tabler.I'm sure there are people playing 12 tables with hourly rates well over $150 on an average.Makes me warm inside thinking about this stuff :)

Sorry about the pics I uploaded, just click on the picture to display the full image hosted on my photobucket accout.(was a rush job)

Dun-Dun-Derrrrrrrrrrrr

Yep that's the sound of the bad beat drum roll friends lol.

Seems like my "Doom Switch" has started! After my post the other day I have been handed a load of bad beats.2outtared about 5 times losing 7/1 and losing about 3 or 4 5/1 all in spots. This is not fun at all, being handed a plethora of bad beats is making me feel quite shit as it wasn't so long ago I had my worst downswing ever.So far this is about a 9 BI downswing so far.I thought it was bad play creeping in as Saturday I played horrible for 80% of the session and then got bad beated at the end.Sunday I just ran bad then played bad as a result of this and dropped about 1 BI on just shocking play.
Today I just fired up a session on my new set up which I'm very happy with.I ended the session stuck just under 1.5 BI 6tabling playing a fairly aggressive 25/20/5 style.I think today I played pretty well but could have made a fold in a very tough spot.
That's why tilt can make your game so bad. When we are playing out A+ game we can make world class reads/folds/value bets and when we are feeling the pressure we don't do so well.

I will try another session in a bit,but since I have started to get some variance I'm going to drop down from 4/6 tabling to 2 tables just whilst I get a bit of confidence back.
If I continue to run bad I will definatley drop down from 2/4 >>>>1/2 until I'm running OK again.
This is a very important lesson I learned from my last downswing that could have crippled me If I didn't have such a large poker bankroll

I'm about break even for the month now after being up about 9.3 BIs so I will just have to think of today as the start of a new month or it's just going to drive me insane.
I recently read a friends blog and I agree with his idea and thoughts about results from month to month but also I think a big part in why I myself do it this way is to protect myself mentally as I find it a good way to shield myself away from the variance of the game.

Stop that monkey tilt

Things have been going very well this month,or so I thought until I decided to play Friday/Saturday after going out and getting smashed around my local town on Thursday night £0.60p a drink.I tell you I can be a proper drink hero at times.Basically I get drunk fairly easy but I just carry on and can drink quite allot.Pretty silly I know.Guess that's what they mean when they talk about "Binge Drinking".

I dropped a fair few BI's on just terrible play and have had a bit of variance too. This is what starts tilt off. When we play bad, then get something unlucky happens we sometimes think of all the stuff that we had just done wrong and our mindset just gets cloudy.Or at least mine does.I don't tilt much at all these days but when the circumstances are optimal(I mean bang it all in and the chances of the tilt factor increase hugely) to produce tilt I usually do.

This was pretty funny hand,I can honestly say this should have tilted the shit out of me but it didn't.I think stuff like this is hilarious(as long as it doesn't happen on a regular basis).
